ATDS Book Award: Call for Nominations


for the Best Book in American Theatre and Drama published in 2012

Deadline: February 1, 2013

Purpose: The American Theatre and Drama Society is delighted to call for nominations
for an award for the best book published on American Theatre and/or Performance in
2012. (ATDS recognizes that notions of “America” and the United States encompass
migrations of peoples and cultures that overlap and influence one another). The award
recipient will be recognized at the next annual meeting of ATDS and will receive a cash
prize of $150.

Eligibility: Books must carry a publication date of 2012. Plays, edited collections, and
anthologies are not eligible.

Nomination: Nominations may come from the author, any member of ATDS, or
Submission: Please submit 1 copy of the book each to:

Evaluation: The awarded book will be evaluated on the basis of originality, critical rigor,
and contribution to the field of American theatre and drama.

Notification: The award recipient will be notified by May 1, 2013.
